In 1994, Cecil Shnier wrote an eight-page contribution to a history of Melfort, Saskatchewan.
It describes their years growing up in Melfort, Saskatchewan.
When they were in public school, Cecil and his brother Jack worked for Perley (who was a famous athlete) making deliveries for his hardware store. My father, Phil Shnier, was named after Perley, and this is described in this letter.
If this is too difficult to read from these scanned pages, I'd be happy to re-type it, as I did for Cecil's genealogical recollections. Please e-mail me at Mitchell@shnier.com. |
